Shisha
The term Shisha means "glass" in Persian, and can refer to both an Arabic water-pipe (or Hookah), as well (in the West) as to the tobacco smoked in such a pipe, especially as mixed with molasses and flavor extract.
The term Shishaâ is primarily used for water pipes in Egypt, and due to the slang use of the word in the Middle East, where (for example) it is acceptable to request a "flavored Shisha" (referring to a Hookah with flavored tobacco), ignorant Westerners have come to refer to the tobacco smoked from a water pipe as "shisha".
